I Am Not Alone

by Paul | Aug 5, 2009 | Thoughts | 0 comments

This site wasn’t really my idea. I stole the concept from a guy named Tyler over at 344 Pounds after seeing before and after pictures featured on on a site I frequent.

I follow Tyler’s progress regularly, trying not to compare his rate of loss to mine (it’s about double), and I find myself constantly amazed by how brave he is. I certainly couldn’t post front and side pictures of my waistline every week for all to see like he does. He’s a great inspiration, and it’s safe to say this site wouldn’t exist were it not for him.

Apparently I’m not the only one he’s inspired either. Tyler recently posted a primer on how to start your own weight loss blog, and the comments reveal no less than 8 other sites that he helped to inspire. That’s pretty impressive.

I’m going to start a blogroll linking to other diet blogs like mine, to try recognize the hard work of others who are in the same boat I am. It’s really a symbolic gesture more than anything else, since I don’t have any traffic other than that of my friends and family.
